Question: How do the sensors work and where to install them?

The sensor is a motion detector which works without a reflector or a receiving unit at the other end of the step. The small, self-calibrating sensors (4x3x1 cm) have to be mounted at each end of the top and bottom steps.

The optimal position for each sensor should be checked before installation.

The sensors are shipped without a case in order to enable discrete mounting flush with the stairs. For this reason the sensors should be protected against contact and dirt. We recommend our aluminium sensor cover.
